Business firms are, presently, operating in severe competition market conditions of the globalization process which is shaping up the 21st century. Within there competitive market contitions only the firms that have global visions of the world of 21th century, good performance in export and import activities, and international relations through partnerships and/or collaborative arrangements are considered successful.
Needless to say that the degree of success that firms will achieve in global competition and international business activities depends on the quality of human resources that are employed by the firms. For this reason, during the last few decades, firms are always in search of professionals specialized in the field of international trade and business. Accordingly, the main purpose of goal of Baskent University, Department of International Trade, is to meet those needs of firms by providing undergraduate education in the areas of international trade and business for young generations.
