General Information
The Department was established in 2000. The Department is located at the Baskent University Baglica Campus. Currently there are 10 full time instructors including 6 assistant professors, 3 instructors and 1 research assistant. When needed, part-time instructors are also employed. The decisions related with the Department are taken by the Department Committee which is composed of all faculty members of the Department. The Department is governed by the Chairperson and a deputy chairperson.
Department of Foreign Language Education leading to an undergraduate degree started in the 2000-2001 academic year. Every year, 50 students are accepted to the programme. Although the medium of instruction is Turkish at the university, the courses related to the field are offered in English.
