General Information

Anesthesia program, which was opened under the Başkent University Adana Health Services Vocational School, has started education at the associate degree level in the 2008-2009 academic year. 61 students are admitted to the program each year. The language of education in the program is Turkish. Students are selected by YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). The aim of this program is to train technical staff to asist anesthesiology specialists in the field of anaesthesiology and reanimation. Those who graduate from this program with an associate degree will be able to work under the supervision of an anesthesiologist in theoperating room before, during and after anesthesia, in the pain treatment clinic and as an assistant in the intensive care unit. Internships and practical applications in education and training are carried out at Başkent University Adana Application and Research Center, which serves as a full-fledged university hospital. There are 3 separate hospitals and 2 separate centres operating theaters within the body of Başkent University Adana Application and Research Center. There are 15 operating rooms available, where General Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Thoracic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, Obstetrics, PlasticSurgery, Dentistry operations are performed.
