General Information

Molecular biology and genetics is the field of life sciences that examines living things structurally and functionally at the molecular level. The Department is offering a Master of Science Program with Thesis in Molecular Biology and Genetics aiming to have graduates who can conduct research studies in line with social needs and competitiveness in the national or international arena. Additionally, our mission is to contribute to the increase of high quality R&D and "know-how" studies.
The department accepts M.Sc. program applications from life sciences, related engineering and health sciences and different undergraduate program graduates with theoretical and applied basic molecular biology / biology background.
In the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, there are 3 professors, 5 assistant professors, 1 instructor and 4 research assistants who continue their studies in the field of molecular biology. The main research activities of the academic members are on cancer molecular biology, plant molecular biology and biotechnology, nanotechnology applications, conservation genetics, stem cells, molecular neurobiology and molecular diagnostic kit development. The academic language of the instruction program is in English.
