At the end of this course, the students; 1) List the factors affecting women-mother and child health 2) Name the effects of fertility and superfecundity on the women-mother and child health 3) Explain the importance of fertility regulation 4) Define "safe motherhood" 5) Interpret the prevalence/incidence and importance of induced abortions 6) Summirize the sexually transmitted diseases 7) Illustrate the importance of "woman-mother and child health problems" and family planning services 8) Anlyse the gender discrimination-health relation

COURSE DEFINITION
The objectives of this course are to teach the students the factors affecting the woman-mother and child health, fertility, the impact of extreme fertility on maternal and child health, fertility regulation, induced abortions and safe motherhood, sexually transmitted infections, gender discrimination, including women's, maternal and child health issues and providing information about family planning-related programs
